“Sometimes you just come across a gem ” and this is one of them. A beautifully renovated village house with views of the river Lot and village square from the balcony. The courtyard garden is totally private and has a very nice plunge pool, very welcome in the summer heat. There is also a covered seating/dining area with plancher for outdoor dining. The house is very well equipped with a fabulous bathroom and large lounge diner and kitchen. There is also English/French TV. The bedrooms are very comfortable with ceiling fans. Altogether, this is a perfect Gite for four people and close to many attractions. We will be back. GG UK June 2023

“10 out of 10!” La Rose Blanche is a hidden gem. River views and sunbathing on the banks of the Lot river. Super clean traditional town house with all the facilities needed including a dip in your own pool. Very secure easy parking across from Fongrave Town Hall. Liz, the owner was on hand for the whole stay to answering our questions quickly and with great local knowledge. “We found our happy place” Such a peaceful place with every comfort provided. Only a few steps from the beautiful river Lot. We loved watching the rowers training on the river as well as the amazing bird life. Our teenagers were delighted to find canoes for hire and also spent some time with their father fishing from the pontoon. I particularly liked the lovely cool terrace in the back garden and floating in the pool. The Thursday night market right in front of La Rose Blanche (which I understand is every Thursday in July and August) is nothing short of spectacular with amazing local food cooked to order for you to sample as well as various wines and beer – and then there is music and dancing up to midnight.
